Putnam Hospital Centerís Medical Staff Adds Six New Members
The Board of Directors of Putnam Hospital Center recently approved the appointment of six new members to the Carmel hospitalís medical staff.
Plastic surgeon Samuel J. Beran, MD, of Mount Kisco, NY, who is affiliated with Cosmetic Surgery Associates, is board certified in surgery and plastic surgery. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College; his postdoctoral training included a general surgery internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas.
Family nurse practitioner Marisa A. Cortese, RN, MS, FNP, of Ossining, NY, who is affiliated with the New York Cancer Center, is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Marist College, and both a bachelor of science degree in nursing and a masterís degree in nursing/family nurse practitioner from Pace University.
Nurse anesthetist Pamela Cunningham, CRNA, of Newtown, CT, who is affiliated with Northeastern Anesthesia Services, received her bachelors degree in nursing from Central Connecticut State University, her certificate in nurse anesthesia from the Hospital of St. Raphaelís School of Nurse Anesthesia and her bachelor of professional studies/master of science in acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Nurse anesthetist Marcia Evans, CRNA, of Wilton, CT, who is associated with Northeastern Anesthesia Services, received her bachelor of science in nursing from Boston College and her master of science in nursing from Columbia University. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Podiatrist Patrick J. Grippo, DPM, of Poughquag, NY, who is affiliated with At Your Feet Foot Care, received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Iona College and a doctor of podiatric medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine; he completed his postdoctoral training at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, PPMR, and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, PPMR.
Podiatrist Scott Whitman, DPM, of Brewster, who is affiliated with Northeastern Footcare, received a bachelor of arts degree in biology from the University of Delaware and a doctor of podiatric medicine degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine; his postdoctoral training included a podiatric surgical residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital.
